Jon is originally from Wonewoc, WI where his family farmed. He moved to La Crosse where he attended WWTC. He started his career with Wieser Brothers Construction in 2001 and was promoted to job site superindentent in 2004. In 2014 he received an opportunity to work with Kirchner Custom Builders and continued to work with commercial jobs as well as adding more custom residential work. He gained more experince with concrete inlcuding foundations, floors, driveways, patios, and specialty coloring, staining, and stamping. In 2018 he was recruited to become an instructor for Minnesota State College Southeat in Winona, MN. He reformed the curriculum and established a 2 year Construction Technology Associate degree option for students. He initiated a collaboration with Winona Habitat for Humanity which created a great learning experience for the students benefiting the Winona area Community. He remained an instructor until 2022 when he left to continue to expand JD Powell Construction full time. Jon lives with his wife and 5 children in Holmen, WI. In his free time Jon enjoys hunting, gardening, spending time with his family, friends, and his chocolate lab Ellie. 

Alex is originally from Buffalo, MN and moved to Winona, MN in 2016. He earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Winona State University and an Associate's Degree in Construction Technology from Minnesota State College Southeast. Outside of the company, Alex works as a licensed Minnesota Realtor and he bartends at the Hei n Low bar in Winona. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and eight-year-old pitbull. He also enjoys professional Minnesota sports, being outdoors, and working on side projects for friends and family.

Alex started with JD Powell Construction in November 2021.

Drew joined JD Powell Construction as a high school senior completing an apprenticeship in the 2022-2023 school year. He stayed on with the company and started full time in May 2023. Drew enjoys spending his time outdoors hunting, fishing, and farming. He likes learning new skills with all of the variety of jobs that JD Powell Construction performs. 

Tyler is from West Salem, WI. He started practicing carpentry skills from a young age, and worked for Triton Construction for 5 years. He also spent a few months working for Concrete Solutions before starting with the company in September 2023. In his free time, Tyler enjoys hunting and bass fishing.

Ayden is originally from Viroqua, WI but currently lives in Holmen. He attended Western Technical and graduated in 2023. In his free time, he enjoys playing and watching basketball, watching baseball and football, and fishing. Ayden started with JD Powell Construction in October 2023.

Ricky started with the company in May 2022 but left for a few months gaining experience with another company. He is back! He attended Western Technical and graduated in Spring 2022 from the Building Construction and Cabinetmaking program. Ricky is also full-time Nurse Practitioner in the ICU unit at a local hospital. In his free time, he spends time playing tennis with his wife and two boys and working on fixing up their home.

Holly started as the office manager in April 2023 after working behind the scenes to help with paperwork while working as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She can be found running many errands along with lots of paperwork and office organization for the company. Holly enjoys spending time with her family and friends, volunteering for school and church events, and spending time in the outdoors.
